Fill out Site Plan or Sign Application with any backup
documentation attached (i.e. blueprints, drawings, plot plans etc.)

Make 18 copies of the application and backup documentation and
submit them to the building department by the due date.
Planning Commission deadline to submit applications and
documentation is 21 days prior to the meeting date. If this date
falls on a Saturday or Sunday, plans need to be submitted on the
Friday prior to the due date.
Planning Commission meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of
the month at 7:30pm in the City Council Chambers. If there is a
change in date, or location it will be published in the Northville
Record and posted in City Hall 10 days prior to the meeting date.
The applicant or a representative should be present at the
meeting to answer any questions the commissioners may have.
Presentation boards or other large items can be brought to the
meeting to help the commissioners in the decision making process.

Fill out the Board of Zoning Appeals application with any backup
documentation attached (i.e. blueprints, pictures, plot plans etc.)

assemble them in 18 identical packets and submit them to the
building department. Applications must be on top of the packets and
backup must be folded to the same size as the application.

Make 13 copies of the application and backup
documentation to submit to the building department. These must be
assembled in 13 identical packets with the application on top. When
supplying color samples it is best to have the color sample
available on all 13 copies. Backup documentation must be folded to
the same size as the application so it can be mailed to
commissioners.
If applicant is seeking demolition approval
they need to obtain a copy of the Historic Demolition guidelines
from City offices. Copies of the Historic District Design Standards
are also available in City offices for viewing or purchase.

documentation is 10 days prior to the meeting date by 4:00pm If this
date falls on a Sunday, plans need to be submitted on the Friday
prior to the due date. Late applications will be placed on the
agenda the following month.

presentation boards, etc.) can be brought to the meeting to help the
commissioners in the decision making process.
