CITY OF NORTHVILLE
WATER DEPARTMENT

Great news . . .

The Detroit Water and Sewer Department (DWSD) has announced that Northville's water is once again safe to drink.

The recent power outage caused a significant drop in water pressure, which resulted in a "boil water" alert on August 15th through the 18th.  This was a precautionary measure to protect the public health of our residents.

With power restored, our water pressure has returned to normal.  Your water has been tested and it meets or exceeds all State and Federal requirements.

The Northville Department of Public Works would like to thank you for your cooperation in restricting your water use during last week's power supply emergency.

Friday, August 15, 2003 11:26am

City of Northville
Water Department

The City of Northville is experiencing low water pressure as a result of recent electric power supply problems.  Residents are asked to minimize their use of water, and until informed otherwise from the Detroit Water & Sewer Department, it is recommended that you boil all water before consuming it.  As power supply problems are solved, water pressures will return to normal.  Thank you for your patience.

Fresh drinking water is available from the "Rotary" well located on South Main Street next to the Chamber of Commerce.  Bring your jugs and containers.  This water is free to the public.

James P. Gallogly
Public Works Director
