Free Cell Phones for Seniors Program

Senior talking on cellular phoneThe Police Department is working with the Northville Senior Adult Services to provide free cell phones for senior citizens.  Others with special needs or medical conditions that may require a heightened need for emergency communication are also eligible.

Used cell phones have been donated to the program.  The normal cell phone service has been deactivated, but 911 calls may still be made if the call is made in an area that has cell phone service.  The phone may be used in an emergency while traveling or during a phone service disruption at home.

If you are interested in obtaining a phone, contact Officer Matt Clemence at the Police Department.  He can be reached at 248-349-5100.  Since his shift assignment and days off rotate, we suggest that you call Officer Clemence to make arrangements to pick up your phone.  If you wish to donate a cell phone, you may stop at the Police Department at any time.
