TopSummer Tax Information
(applies to both Oakland and Wayne Counties)

Summer taxes are due July 1 and are payable without penalty July 1 through  August 31.  Postmark will not be accepted.

Penalty and Interest

On September 1, a 2% penalty will be added, plus an additional 1/2 of 1% interest per month beginning October 1.

Beginning March 1, taxes on real property can be paid only to the appropriate County Treasurer, with penalty and a 4% administrative fee plus 1% per month interest computed from March 1.

Beginning March 1, personal property taxes (applies to business only) can be paid only to the City of Northville Treasurer, 215 W. Main St., Northville, MI 48167 with penalty plus 4% property tax administrative fee plus 1% per month interest computed from March 1.  Click here for Penalty and Interest Calculations.

Checks are accepted as conditional payment.  If not honored by bank, tax is unpaid and subject to penalties. A $32.00 fee will be charged for checks returned to us due to insufficient funds.
